Server Administrator & Full Stack Developer

I built BetterBacoor, inspired by BetterGov.ph and the BetterLGU community. I wanted to make it easier to find what you need before visiting a government office in Bacoor. It brings service requirements, office contacts, and official links into one place. It's an unofficial, community-run guide and it's open source. You can find the website and code in the project below.

My experiences, things I learn, and life outside the code.

Starting before I felt ready

I finished college without feeling completely ready for real work. This is how I started as an IT intern and slowly became a server administrator.

About

I'm Ronan, an IT graduate based in the Philippines. At Seaversity, I look after Linux servers and Moodle environments, and write scripts to make repetitive work a little easier.

Outside that work, I build web and mobile applications, often around everyday needs in local communities and small businesses. I'm also learning more about cloud infrastructure and DevOps. This site is a place to share what I'm building and learning along the way.

Experience

May 2026 – Present
I look after client LMS environments, from provisioning VMs and routing domains to migrations, storage, and troubleshooting. I also build scripts and internal tools to make routine work more manageable.
Highlights
Manage Rocky Linux servers with Nginx, PHP-FPM, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Built a MinIO repository for shared course content and NFS workflows across LMS instances.
Automate deployment, database, and backup tasks with Bash, and document the process.

Nov 2025 – May 2026
I worked with the IT team to provision Linux environments, maintain Moodle deployments, and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
Highlights
Provisioned virtual machines and configured networking and Cloudflare DNS.
Wrote Bash scripts for repetitive database and deployment tasks.
Helped standardize deployment procedures and day-to-day maintenance.

Aug 2025 – Nov 2025
I assisted the IT team with daily server operations and learned how the pieces of a production LMS environment fit together.
Highlights
Helped with user management, service monitoring, updates, and backups.
Supported VM provisioning and troubleshooting for web and database services.
Learned deployment documentation and infrastructure maintenance practices.
